Goodger-Pink productions is thrilled to bring outdoor, all-ages theatre to Okotoks!
The company's debut performance Rumpelstiltskin Revisited is a raucous, fast-paced "re-mix" version of the classic fairytale. Googder-Pink founder Samantha Duff grew up in Okotoks. "As a young girl I was lucky enough to see an improv troupe perform at an outdoor park in Okotoks," Duff says. "It was a wonderful opportunity to share quality time with my family, out of the house, and to be exposed to something really unique in an otherwise small prairie town. I'm excited to offer my hometown something I'm passionate about, live theatre." |
Duff, a graduate of Mount Royal University's theatre arts diploma and University of Alberta's bachelor of fine arts in acting, has extensive experience performing outdoors with summers spent on stage at Calgary's Shakespeare in the Park and Edmonton's FreeWill Shakespeare Festival.
Duff joins forces with fellow U of A bachelor of fine arts in acting graduate Holleay Rohm and Mount Royal graduate Joe Fowler. Rohm and Fowler have performed extensively in theatre for young people, including roles for Quest Theatre and Evergreen Theatre, and are both well-known for their improvisational skills.
Outdoor donation-based all-ages theatre builds community, creates opportunities for families to connect and is a fun way to spend a summer evening.
